The only set back was it took me three days, and two engineering night classes, to set it up :o

Works great ;D

One drawback....the unit does NOT like "obstacles"...like as in, my office for the receiver and the patio for the transmitter >:( Even the ol el cheapo Oregon Scientific went thru walls ;)

i have the same problem with mine, but the accuracy of the unit overcomes that...to me.

I agree, and usually have the remote set up where I can check on it every so often and can hear the alarm if it goes off.

Y'day dam receiver went out (blank) again after 8 hours. Needed to re-set it >:( At least the transmitter has been working correctly. No obstacles, in a direct line with transmitter no more than 20 ft away.

that is the only drawback to the unit, i've been keeping mine a little closer and problem solved (that kinda defeats the purpose though of the remote feature though)
