Works great
One drawback....the unit does NOT like "obstacles"...like as in, my office for the receiver and the patio for the transmitter Even the ol el cheapo Oregon Scientific went thru walls

Y'day dam receiver went out (blank) again after 8 hours. Needed to re-set it At least the transmitter has been working correctly. No obstacles, in a direct line with transmitter no more than 20 ft away.

that is the only drawback to the unit, i've been keeping mine a little closer and problem solved (that kinda defeats the purpose though of the remote feature though)
